Yamashita Park is a public park along Yokohama bay. There are boat tours that can be taken from a port really close to the park. It was constructed after the Great Kanto Earthquake of the 1920s. The park is actually a thin stretch of land along the bay, so it's perfect for walking or chatting with a friend after shopping at Akarenga Soko or Chinatown. There is also a pretty historic ocean liner permanently docked nearby called the Hikawa Maru. It took many journeys from Seattle/Vancouver to Yokohama for many years starting in the 1930s before it was ultimately retired. The first class cabin had many famous stars as it's passengers, including Charlie Chaplin. Now it serves as a museum that shows the style of the time and information about the ships voyages.
