Alright. Ramen is probably one of my favorite things in Japan. Sadly, due to it's effect on my weight, I can only really eat ramen once or twice a month. So I tend to be very picky about the kind of ramen that I eat. One of my types of ramen is a type of "tonkotsu" ramen (Pork bone), specifically ie-kei ramen. Ie-kei ramen (literally home style) is really popular in the Yokohama area. I looked up the best Ie-kei ramen on tabelog and Yoshimuraya popped up. It did not disappoint. There are chain restaurant's called Yokohama Ie-kei Ramen, but this place is the real deal. Sadly I don't make it out to Yokohama that often, but if you get the chance this would be the best place to try tonkotsu ramen in my opinion.
Yoshimuraya in Yokohama is by far one of the best tonkotsu ramen places in Yokohama. We decided to go to one of my favorite kind of ramen places. Definitely worth checking out in Yokohama. Just be warned it usually has pretty long lines so prepare for that.
