Shimokitazawa's Shisha Cafe

Published on 03.31.2016 One of Tyler's favorite places in Japan is actually a small little shisha cafe on Ichibangai Street in Shimokitazawa. If you go there there's about a 50% chance of you meeting Tyler because he's basically there everyday. Shisha, for those that don't know is a type of flavored syrupy tobacco mixture that is smoked out of a hookah. Varily popular in places like Egypt, Turkey, and even America, shisha is still a rather unknown here in Japan. So much so it's not uncommon for people to confuse it with drugs. There are occasionally elderly people who stumble upon it and ask whether it's legal or not. Haha.
