Published on 03.31.2016 This hunger-inducing video showcases Fukuoka's pride and joy, Hakata pork bone ramen!
Ramen is loved throughout the world and this time we bring you "Hakata ramen", which are thin straight noodles boiled in a pork bone broth.
When these ramen masters are making ramen they often shake off a lot of the excess water on the floor. This is called "yukiri" (湯切り) and depending on the store you can often see these artisans at work shaking the water off on the floor. There are many different ways for them+F819 to perform this yukiri and you may be able to taste the difference that different techniques have on the flavour of the ramen.

The thin straight noodles covered in the rich pork bone broth looks so delicious. Makes me want to take a trip to Fukoka right now.
The slightly sour and refreshing red ginger and the crunchy mushrooms are two special ingredients that are usually only found in Hakata ramen.
There are as many Hakata ramen shops as there are stars in the sky all over Japan and the world, but why not try the ramen that started it all in Fukuoka Prefecture's Fukuoka City. The world of pork bone broth ramen is waiting for you!
