Published on 03.31.2016 It is not every day that one stumbles upon a cat themed donut shop! Although it would make sense if the donut shop was inside a cat themed town like this one. It does bring into question why the shop claims to sell donuts when in reality it sells cat tail resembling bread sticks. One could argue that the shape of the food hardly matters but then again, it is a matter of principle. Regardless, you can tell just by looking at the donuts that they would taste amazing. They look soft, sweet, and baked to perfection. The “Tora” donut was a creative twist, making it look like a tiger’s tail, albeit there was too much dark dough and not enough orange. Not that the aesthetics of the donut matter, it just seems that it could be a normal, chocolate flavored treat with a hint of vanilla instead of both of those in equal measure. Of course the only way to tell is to actually try it out but only those lucky enough to visit the area would have that opportunity. Speaking of which, the area seems like a nice, quaint town. The cat statues add a nice touch to the area even if they do seem a bit eerie to outside visitors. I believe hanging scarves onto the cat statues had some sort of religious or superstitious significance as well.
