Kagoshima city is the capital of Kagoshima prefecture and is located in the southern part of Japan. Kagoshima has a humid subtropical climate but during winter season, the winter monsoon that blows in from the South China Sea brings snow in Kagoshima. In Kagoshima City, you can see Sakujima Island covered with snow and if you travel a little further, you can see frost-covered trees and roads. If you are a foreigner or visitor from countries that never had snow, you will enjoy looking at the roofs because they were all white and covered with snow. Cars are vehicles are also covered with snow. Local people especially the children used to enjoy this kind of weather by making snowman and playing with snowballs. The snow falling from the sky brings a chilly feeling when you are walking in the roads covered with snow. You can see beautiful powdery snow covered the hills around the area. You can see that Kagoshima is filled with beauty in the winter with its white and frosty surroundings.
Most people are inside during this kind of weather so the streets and parks are mostly empty. People usually enjoy this kind of weather by doing activities inside where they can use a heater to warm the cold temperature. It is also advisable to avoid going outside especially when there is a snow storm and the visibility may not be clear. A bowl of hot ramen or noodle will warm your body. The water in the lakes and harbors are also very cold and the wind is strong. It is not advisable to small boats to sail in this kind of weather.
