Published on 04.27.2016 “Odaiba” is seaside area that is getting excited for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Odaiba is popular with foreign tourists, and with all the places where you can enjoy eating, shopping, and entertainment, it’s no mystery why! Odaiba is a great place to spend a whole day for families, and you can see beautiful scenery while enjoying the pleasant sea breeze from Tokyo bay.

“Aquacity Odaiba” is a huge shopping mall complex located next to Odaiba Rinkai Park. Aquacity Odaiba boasts a great view of central Tokyo across the Rainbow Bridge. There is also a replica of the Statue of Liberty in the Odaiba Rinkai Park, which became a symbol of the Odaiba area. The statue was built in 1998 as a memorial of "Year of France in Japan," where many events were held to celebrate France and its people. There are about 80 stores in Aquacity Odaiba where you can enjoy shopping and eating.

“DiverCity Tokyo Plaza” is one of the newer tourist attractions which was built in 2012, and designed as a theatrical urban space. There are always crowds around the statue of the 18-meter-tall “Mobile Suit Gundam” statue that stands in the Festival square. On the seventh floor of the building, there is “Gundam Front Tokyo” where you can actually make your own plastic model Gundam figure.

“DECKS Tokyo Beach” is recommended for those looking to see a great night view. The place looks like a cruise ship and you can enjoy the beautiful night view from the wooden decks such as the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo bay. The place is illuminated throughout the year at night, and has a romantic atmosphere. There is also a wax museum called “Madame Tussauds Tokyo” in this building. They display wax dolls that look like famous movie stars and athletes.

Odaiba is one of the attractive places to visit where you can enjoy various entertainment, and beautiful scenery at the same time.
