Emilylouisemaitland's father came from the mother country to visit his darling daughter in Japan! In this article I will take you through Emily and her father's wonderful gorgeous day of sightseeing and eating.
Our day starts at lunch. Emily woke up early enough to have breakfast, but her father apparently slept in and his first meal of the day was lunch. People in Japan have a custom where they sometimes sleep in and skip breakfast on days off. Curry was for breakfast/lunch on this fine day. Emily ordered a katsu curry, and her father ordered a beef curry. Emily's father complained that there was not much meet in his curry. He should have ordered what Emily got because it had a lot of meet. I give Emily's lunch a 7/10 and her father's lunch a 3/10. The ranch that they ate lunch at was really pretty, so I give it an 9/10.
After lunch, the pair take a hike to a nearby shrine that Emily said she loves. I however, find the shrine to be a bit small and dingy, so I think I will give it a 2/10. There are much better shrines to take her father to I am sure. As they adventure onwards, they come across the "red pagoda." The red pagoda is really red and really bright, and it looks very clean and pretty, so I will give it an 8/10. I think that was a good place for her to take her father. There was also a daibutsu (big buddha) statue nearby, so I will give that an 8/10 as well. Her father also looks like Buddha as well, so I think it is good that Emily took him there.
One of the things that Emily's father thought was cool about Japan is that you can buy hot drinks from vending machines. This is very convenient in the winter, as it tends to get cold. Japan has four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Later that night, the father-daughter duo went back to their room to play with their selfie poles. It seemed really fun. I rate selfie poles a 10/10.
For dinner, they went out for for korean barbecue. It looked good, and they ate a lot of vegetables and not just meat. It is important to remember to eat vegetables and not just meat to maintain a healthy diet, and I think Emily and her father did that here. I rate their dinner a 10/10 as well.
Thank you to Emily for giving making this video about the day she spent with her father.
