Do you know that the Fukuoka City Subway is commonly use by most people rather than the JR especially when you’re coming from the Airport or want to travel around the city area>
Well, I didn’t know about this until I went to Fukuoka myself and really experienced it myself.
From the Airport, it takes around 5 minutes to Hakata Station, and only 11 minutes to Tenjin, which is their shopping area!
Though both the interior and exterior looks almost the same as the ones you can find in Tokyo and Osaka, the only difference that I realized was that in stations such as Hakata, which was one of the main stations in Fukuoka, the way to the subway is not as confusing and far as compared to the ones in Tokyo. I do remember that I had to make a few rounds in Tokyo, but almost none in Fukuoka, It was really simple and convenient to use!
Do you know that for Tenjin station, once you come out from the station, there is actually a shopping centre underground, and it is literally like a shopping haven once you step out of the station.
And to be honest, it is really easy to travel around with the Fukuoka City Subway as you can travel easily to major destinations such as the Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka Yahoo Dome, Fukuoka Zoo and many more!!
For tourists, do be sure to find out he Fukuoka Tourist City Pass as it gives you a 1 day unlimited rides on buses, trains and even subways! Isn’t it great? Plus, it is not that expensive if you considered the amount of rides you will be taking. It costs 820 yen for adults and 410 yen for children!
So what are you waiting for? If you’re currently in Fukuoka, or planning to travel to Fukuoka, do remember to get this and ride on the Fukuoka City Subway!
