Published on 06.01.2016 Experience flying through the sky with Tokyo Skydiving Club
The drop zone of Tokyo Skydiving Club is Honda airport in Saitama, which is the nearest drop zone from Tokyo. It also boasts the highest drop (3800m/12500ft) in Japan. From there, you can enjoy the full view of Tokyo, even overlooking Tokyo-bay (weather permitted).
Try Tandem skydiving for a day
It’s a full service drop zone which includes Tandem, AFF programs, a full rigging loft and bunk house. For those who just want to have a go at skydiving, try Tandem just for a day. No training or previous experience is required. You’ll be given a 10-minute lecture and practice about poses, then your instructor, most of them speak English, will help you get ready.
After a 20-minute sightseeing session from a Cessna Caravan C-208 aircraft, you’ll dive into the sky. Enjoy the sensation of free falling for the first 50 seconds, then start parachuting at 1200m high for 5 minutes. Although the skydive lasts for about 6 minutes, the experience will stay in your memory forever!
