Who is KemushiChan?
Loretta Scott, a.k.a. KemushiChan, began learning Japanese as a high school student in 2002. When she was 16, she got a grant for living and studying in Japan. After this experience, she decided to apply to study Linguistics and Digital Communication in Japan as a research fellow through the College of William and Mary.
Under her brand, KemushiChan, she writes textbooks, as well as providing marketing and localisation consulting to firms that are looking to go global in Japan.
In 2014, she founded JAPANScholar, an online platform that puts students around the world in contact with funding to work, learn, and excel in Japan.
