Fukuoka airport: an international airport 11-minutes away from downtown
Fukuoka Airport is the 3rd busiest airport in Japan, next to Narita and Haneda. It’s located in Fukuoka city in Kyushu, the southernmost mainland of Japan. The Fukuoka city subway will take you there in only 5 minutes from Hakata station, and 11 minutes from Tenjin station; the main shopping and entertainment district in Fukuoka city.
You can also take highway buses at the airport to many other tourist destinations, such as Nagasaki, Beppu, Yufuin and Sasebo. Here is the link to the timetables in English. The site provides them in Mandarin and Korean as well. The highway bus information counter is situated at the International terminal 1F.
