Coming to Japan can be overwhelming with so many places to go and so many things to do. Japan may be a relatively small island, but is jam-packed with sightseeing spots, great views, and interesting experiences.
Chris from Okano TV goes through his favorite places in Japan to go.
1. Hokkaido: This is the place to go if you love snow and cold weather sports. They also have a very popular Snow Festival that goes on in February.
2. Yakushima: Nature-lovers with a little extra cash and who have been to Japan a few times should check out Yakushima. It is most famous for being the inspiration for the setting of Ghibli's Princess Monoke. It's vibrant green forest are truly one of a kind.
3. Tokyo: An absolute must for anyone whose never been to Japan. Come on, how can you go to Japan and not go to Tokyo. Shinjuku, Asakusa, Shibuya, and Akihabara are just a few areas to check out while you are there.
4. Kansai: If you are looking for great food, but also a look into Japan's ancient past, look no further than the Kansai area. Kyoto's traditional temples and shrines that date back over 1000 years are a must see for those who love to see buildings nearly untouched by time. Osaka's Dotonbori and Shinseikai areas have some of the best examples of Japanese soul food.
